Go with a small group

If you go as a tourist, go with a small group. A ship with less than 100 passengers is good. Small groups tend to visit land more since there are self-imposed restrictions to how many people can be on land at once. If you go with a large cruise ship, you could be waiting a lot. Besides, you’re there to get away from things, right?
