Bremerhaven

(in Germany > Bremen)

Worth visiting!

A review of this place

I love Bremerhaven. I love the sea, first of all. It is cold in the summer, but you can swim – I did! There is a restaurant that makes its own bread and beer – delicious. All sorts of birds, and an old church, beautifully lit at night.

Bremen

(in Germany)

Worth visiting!

Untitled

I once almost married a boy from Bremen.
Consequently, I visited often: three times in as many years. Long visits, too. Fun little restaurants at the Schlachte and Turkish take-out in the park or outside the Hauptbanhof (that’s the main train station for you non-German-speakers). The science museum and the planetarium. The greenery. Bremerhaven. I never got bored. I never wanted to leave. I wanted to move there.
I do not know, now. If Bremen weren’t as lovely as it is, would I have agreed to my ex-beau’s proposal? We’ll never know.

Ireland

(in Europe)
What I want to do at this place

I want to move to Ireland.
Well, or England, or anywhere they speak English or French, really (or any other language I speak – learning Swedish now:)), but Ireland seems the most romantic. Green and near the sea, and everyone’s accents are so lovely. Besides, pub quizzes sound like fun.

Sankt-Peterburg

Worth visiting!

A review of this place: The city of my birth

The good: the old bits are beautiful. The Hermitage, the parks, the suburbs. In the summer, daylight goes on forever. Stockholm is right across the sea.
The bad: the crime, the smells, the poverty.
The ugly: see above.
I spent the first thirteen years of my life there. I do not want to go back. But if you’ve never been, you should give it a try…if you dare.
