I remember it being beautiful and the climate being pretty pleasant.

My family has a reunion every other year, more-or-less, and the last time I was in SD for the reunion I took a particular interest in the presidential history aspect of it…

There was this Presidential Wax Museum somewhere in SD and… It was frickin’ awesome! I learned a lot about the presidents and… Got to take pictures of realisticish wax figures of them. Huh. Nifty.

The city side of the island is neat… The other side of the island is breathtaking. The first time I went, I cried… The next time I went, I expected to be disappointed, that it couldn’t live up to the memories… It did, it, in fact, surpassed them.

It is one of, if not the, most beautiful place(s) I have seen on this planet to date. It’s amazing.

I worked there for six months (it’s the longest I’ve ever had a job) and I can tell you that the people who work there are AMAZING, they know their stuff. Plus, seriously, would you rather lose your lunch on some silly roller coaster thing or talk to someone about what was done for entertainment in the 1830’s? I know where I’m going!

It did change my life… In a bajillion ways, holy crap.

If you are in college, GO ON COLLEGE NIGHT. People… It’s BADASS!!!

We got a free duck tour, my buddy got to drive. It was almost-all free, it was SO MUCH FUN! Holy cow…
