Northern Ireland, Ireland

I went to Northern Ireland to see Giant’s Causeway. The rocks look so cool! I went with a tour bus so I only had an 1 1/2 hours. I would suggest probably 2 hours if you want to walk the upper route as well as the lower route. Definitely one of my favorite places I’ve seen so far.

Scotland, Great Britain

weekend trip

Since I’m studying abroad in Ireland, I went to Scotland for a weekend trip (Thursday through Monday). Edinburgh is awesome, definitely see the castle. Stay in Castle Rock Hostel because I had no complaints whatsoever plus it’s right below the castle. If you want to see Loch Ness, take the tour www.scotlinetours.co.uk I thought Loch Ness could’ve been prettier and a little more exciting, but with that tour you see the Highlands so it wasn’t a complete waste. Only go if you are truely interested in seeing Loch Ness; otherwise you’ll be disappointed and wasted alot of money. The optional cruise isn’t worth doing although we did have a gorgeous day for it. I went end of March so maybe it’s prettier in the spring.

Glasgow isn’t a tourist city, so definitely do alot of research before going. They have several museums to view and great architecture. If you are staying one or two nights, stay at Euro Hostel. Otherwise, find a better place to stay.
