Turkey, Europe

It was a wonderful trip

My 6 year old son, my wife and I enjoyed very much of the trip to Turkey. We went to Turkey last November following a tour. From Istanbul to Bolu, to Angkara, to Kapadokya, to Aegean Coast, to Ephesus, to Pergamon, to Canakkele and back to Istanbul.

People are warm, modern and freindly. They, generally, like children. I particularly enjoy Canakkale. I remember that early winter night strolling at the esplanade beside the harbour. We stopped and had coffee at cafe, talked to the locals and university students, etc. An old gentlement, standing beside cafe selling souvenirs, gave my son a small troy’s horse as gift. It made our day…errr evening. I took a photo of the old gentlement with my son and another two little Turk girls.

I enjoyed the hotair ballon at Kapadokya. I like Haga Sophia…

Thanks for everyone at 43places that gave us advices…

Turkey, Europe

Untitled

I just got myself a guide book on Turkey, Insight Guides packed with Berlitz Turkish travel pack. This guide comes with lot’s of nice pictures, CDs & phrases on Turkish and is cheaper than Lonely Planet. :D

I am going to learn to speak a little bit of Turkish.

I will figure out then what I want to do at Turkey, other than drink the apple tea, take great photo, try local Mediterranean food, visit historical places, etc.

Edinburgh, Scotland

Untitled

I remember that evening when we reached Edinburgh. We would stopped by Edinburgh and took another bus to Kirkcaldy.

The bus drove through Princes Street. I looked at my left site, a row of modern shops with people walking along the street. I turned to look at my right side. The land scape flowed down to a valley and slowly climbed up and up to the top of that volcanic stone. And there stood the Edinburgh castle. It was a view so spectacular and unforgettable.

It was a June 97’s summer evening.

I know I will go there once more.
