221 B. Baker Street, City of Westminster

Sherlocks Place

Visiting 221 b Baker Street was lots of fun, but probably only to a fan of Sherlock Holmes. The entire house is set up like when he “lived” there although with great displays featuring things like the book with the gun in it and the cut off ears in a box of salts. There is also a wonderful shop with paraphanelia (sp?). Next door there is also a Beatles store for those so inclined, that has tons of records and other things.

Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire

stratford.

I absolutely love this town. We drove here in June (i think we left from Salisbury, but i cant quite remember). The traffic was not bad at all, although finding our little bed and breakfast in the dark was tough. But we got to see “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” as well as “The Tempest” (where Prince Charles and Camilla were among the audience). both plays were excellent, i especially loved the modernization and lack of set. Beautifully done. The whole town was charming, we went on a boat tour and ate at a local pub and took the tour where you see Anne Hathaways house, as well as Shakespeares and others. Fantastic, i would love to return.

British Museum, Bloomsbury

amazing.

Amazing museum, everyone has has probably said it but i could spend practically a week here and still find new things to look at. And great exhibits as well.
