I just drove through while moving,
but we liked what we saw so much that
we’re taking out next big trip back here
rather than Florence again,
which will have to wait another year
(but it’s more time to practice my italian)

and it’s my favorite place out of all the ones i’ve lived at, food, bars, bookstores, random nonsense, music, i can’t even begin to describe how great a place this is.

all i remember is watching a little dog act at circus circus and drinking too much in my hotel room.

last time I was here, i walked into the back with some friends sat down and started reading kids books. Then we were told it was off limits and they kicked us out even though the area wasn’t blocked off or anything. Also, I couldn’t find the vitamin c tablets so needed to fight off scurvey for my next nautical adventure. I need to be at the peak of health when I’m swinging on a rope while trying to board another ship, waving my cutlass to and fro.

I used to go here all the time when I was a kid, and that giant whale hanging down scared the crap out of me, I’d get so dizzy. Last time I went there and saw it as an adult it didn’t scare me at all, and this really depressed me. oh well.
