Washington, D.C., District of Columbia

Incredible...

I loved this place. We had so much fun. If you are an American history buff, drop everything and go now. We stood on the steps of Lincoln Memorial where Martin Luther King, Jr. gave his “I have a dream” speech, Lincoln Memorial was surreal – stunning. We saw the Smithsonian Museums (of note: The National Air and Space Museum, The Smithsonia Museum of Natural History, the new Portrait Gallery), Washington Monument, the White House, the Vietnam Veteran’s Memorial, Jefferson Memorial, the Pentagon, you name it, we saw it. No trip to DC is complete without a stop in quaint little Georgetown. It’s clean and beautiful, tons of cool stores and great restaurants. We stayed at the Grand Hyatt Washington – the hotel itself is reason enough to go to Washington, DC….

Atlantic City, Atlantic County

Uhhh....kinda gross.

We stayed at the Taj Mahal. This hotel/casino takes tackiness to a new level. If you like to gamble, then this place is for you. Beware! This place is VERY scary at night and walking around at night like a target is not recommended. The boardwalk was nice – got some salt water taffy. The Atlantic is always nice to see. Sorta fun during the day. Meh…you know…there’s better. Like Vegas.

San Francisco, San Francisco Peninsula

WOW.

Holy fun city! We went to Alcatraz, Lombard Street, Chinatown, Union Square (amazing shopping), Fisherman’s Wharf, etc. San Francisco is the gay capital of the world and it was very colourful! Gotta love it! We went to the Palace of Arts – the place was breath-taking. Anyone visiting must stop here. We took the Golden Gate Bridge over to Sausalito and got drunk on margaritas. A fine way to spend Friday afternoon. San Francisco has TONS of great restaurants and piles of awesome sushi bars. GO NOW!
