San Miguel, Baja California
Camping and Surfing
This is pretty much just a surf destination. People camp here, but it’s not much of a camping area. It’s a good wave, when the swell can get to it. San Miguel is just before Ensenada on the toll road.

Leave if you can....
…is what Salsipuedes means in Spanish. Of all the places I’ve camped in Northern Baja, this place is the best or at least the easiest. It is nestled in a valley, so is not prone to the winds so common in Baja. The valley has lots of trees providing shade, which is unusual for Baja. The ground is a composted soil from the tree’s leaves, which is much nicer than the fine reddish-brown dirt that you find everywhere else. It also has pretty good surf at times. On big North swells, the point to the South will provide a top notch wave.
