I've lived here all my 17 years

well, 18, this December, and although Roanoke is pretty boring at times, I’m only guessing every city is when you’ve lived in it your whole life. Roanoke IS very beautiful though, and does have a whole lot of history that most people don’t know about/take for granted. The nature around here is simple and gorgeous, and everything just always seems very calm around here. It’s gorgeous, the people are complete sweethearts, and, if you can find them, there are some prettyyy good parties here and there.

5th grade field trip, like, 7 years ago. Even though this stuff usually isn’t my thing, I can still remember it there, and I seriously love it.

I went here for an 8th grade field trip a few years ago, and I can honestly say this is where my heart is. We went to Central Park, The Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, to the top of the Empire state buiding, Times Square at night, Brooklyn, just…everywhere. They even took us to see “Beauty and the Beast” on Broadway! I can honestly say after being stuck in some dumb town in Virginia, this was a nice change of pace, even if I did get some weird looks for the way I talk. But, amazing none the less, I do plan on moving there after college.
