...and the crazy thing was that we travelled all the way there and it turns out we knew the waiter.

The wife and I were having dinner here a while back. We both are fans of the Indian food and have always heard good things about this place. Mid-meal a giant f-ing rat ran through the window by the door, across the rafter into the kitchen. I freaked and we left. I hate rats and this one was about the size of a small creepy dog.

The Willie Burger has a hamburger, pulled chicken, bacon, egg and a hot link and smothered in Artie B’s sauce on a bun. It more than met expectations, but OH MY GOD it took a long time to cook. Artie B seemed like a real nice fella but the service is slow. If you are going there for lunch you might want to call ahead.

I had read a few very good reviews and was excited to try a new place especially since we don’t get to get out as often as we used to. The food was very good although we noticed that we could taste the salt in each dish. Not that each dish was salty necessarily just that one could noticably taste the salt. That said, the duck burgers were too salty.

The service was great, had great recommendations for dishes to try and wine to pair. We had a very enjoyable night out and would go back again.

Thin sliced flank steak breaded and deep fried with ham, beans, cheese, sausage, chipotle in a torta. This place just went to the top of the list of best sando’s in town.

Marinated sardines with lobster oil… grilled octopus… salt cod mezza luna… grilled guinnea hen… and wines matched to each course. This was by far one of the best meals, and dining experiences I have ever had anywhere. We sat at the wine bar and the bartender provided excellent service and great suggestions.

...was for brunch. I had a very good biscuit and gravy. We have always been happy with the service and food at St Clouds both for dinner and brunch. For dinner anything that comes with the collard greens is recommended.

You just have to love a place that has Rainier on tap, in a bottle or in a can.

We made the most of it with dinner at Matt’s. I can’t believe we had not been here before.

everything about Kirkland sucks. My new office is in Kirkland and it makes me want to cry every time I have to drive there. Kirkland is the worst of the eastside and I can’t think of a place I dislike more.
