Oklahoma State University, Stillwater

Untitled by butrflyakp

Went for a homecoming game with my then boyfriend Jerod. Loved Stillwater: the campus is beautiful, Eskimo Joe’s is great, the Hideaway pizza place is delish! Got to go to a football game and had a blast rooting for State. Go Pokes!

St. Louis, Missouri

What's that smell? by butrflyakp

While seeing the arch was impressive and the older brick buildings were nice to look at, the city as a whole was a huge disappointment. It was dirty, difficult to find our way around, and we couldn’t even finish our dinner because the smell from off the Mississippi River was horrible. Admire the arch and just drive on through.

New Orleans, Orleans Parish

Untitled by butrflyakp

Bourbon Street. French Quarter. Mardi Gras. Jazz Fest. Great food. Great music. Great people. Incredible history. Awesome cemetaries. Go into some of the voodoo shops, too. It’s all very unique and exciting. This is truly sin city, but there is ALWAYS something going on, day or night. Be sure to stop and listen to some jazz, eat some cajun food and a benet, have a Lucky Dog on the corner, and drink a beer (or two). Just please, keep your shirt on!

Oklahoma City National Memorial, Oklahoma City

Untitled by butrflyakp

Words cannot describe the impact this place has on you when you visit. It reminds you of how grateful we shouls all be to live in this country. The events that occurred here are appalling and sobering, but the way we came together as a nation is both inspiring and memorable.

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Untitled by butrflyakp

Only spent one day in the city, but it was a beautiful place. I was pleasantly surprised, because I never thought of Oklahoma as a place that would be enjoyable to visit. Despite the outcome of my trip here, I still am very glad I went and enjoyed spending time with the people I was with.

Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado

Untitled by butrflyakp

I live in Colorado so I make this a pretty regular trip. The mountains aare breathtaking, scenery awe-inspiring, animals amazing, and air as crisp and clear as you can imagine. A few weeks ago I made my first autumn trip there to see the changing leaves at their peak. It was one of the most calming and beautiful sights I have ever seen. It is incredible here year-round, but those changing leaves were unforgetable.

Mother Nature at Her Best by butrflyakp

One of the most glorious natural landmarks I have ever visited! Do not miss Old Faithful (duh!), Grand Prismatic Springs, or Yellow Stone Grand Canyon Waterfalls. Breathtaking!

Sloppy Joe's, Key West

Untitled by butrflyakp

A Key West classic. Great merchandise and lots of good times. Always live music playing. Although the original Sloppy Joe’s Bar is around the corner and down the street, this is still a fun place to go and get really drunk and have a terrific time. On New Year’s Eve (been their twice) they drop a giant conch shell from the roof a la NYC.

Mallory Square, Key West

Eccentricity by butrflyakp

A great place with lots of street vendors and unique street performers. Most beautiful place to catch a Key West sunset and a margarita. After the sun down goes down there’s always large and festive crowds, great music, and performing. The very large Cuban restaurant there is excellent, as well. A must for any visit to the Conch Republic.

Hemingway House, Key West

Try to go early in the day to avoid crowds and before it gets too hot inside (no A/C). A must for lit buffs and cat lovers!
