Went for a homecoming game with my then boyfriend Jerod. Loved Stillwater: the campus is beautiful, Eskimo Joe’s is great, the Hideaway pizza place is delish! Got to go to a football game and had a blast rooting for State. Go Pokes!
over 5 years agoWhile seeing the arch was impressive and the older brick buildings were nice to look at, the city as a whole was a huge disappointment. It was dirty, difficult to find our way around, and we couldn’t even finish our dinner because the smell from off the Mississippi River was horrible. Admire the arch and just drive on through.
over 5 years agoBourbon Street. French Quarter. Mardi Gras. Jazz Fest. Great food. Great music. Great people. Incredible history. Awesome cemetaries. Go into some of the voodoo shops, too. It’s all very unique and exciting. This is truly sin city, but there is ALWAYS something going on, day or night. Be sure to stop and listen to some jazz, eat some cajun food and a benet, have a Lucky Dog on the corner, and drink a beer (or two). Just please, keep your shirt on!
