Spiderman - The Ride

Worth visiting!

A review of this place: The coolest ride ever made!

If I were rich, I’d have one of these puppies built in my yard! lol… It is like being in a comic book. It is very hard to describe. Definately worth any wait! It is a motion simulator, moving ride & 3D all in one. The effects are amazing! It even has live things going on like steam etc…so you don’t know half the time, what is real or what. Make it a point to ride this if nothing else at Universal.

History: Initially, Mantis was to be named “Banshee.” In Irish folklore, a banshee was a female spirit whose wail was said to foretell a death in the family. After this definition was printed in a local newspaper, Cedar Point felt uncomfortable with it in its patrons’ minds in association with the new coaster. For sensitivity reasons, the name was changed to Mantis, which was on a short list of names for the coaster. The original logo would come to be that of Dorney Park’s Steel Force.

Not as big as I had thought it would be. The idea that someone carved heads into rock like that is amazing, but really you can just look at some pictures & get the same effect. Not interesting enough to make me want to go again.

This was the most miserable place I have ever been to in my life. It is excruciatingly HOT here! When you are that overheated, you don’t care about anything else. Too hot to enjoy it.

A big hole in the ground, not to sound clique. I was a kid when I went last, so maybe now that I’m older I would appreciate it more if I went again. I just expected it to be more beautiful than it was.

This is the greatest place for rollercoasters! My fave ride is ‘Millenium force’. That ride is wild! I never rode top thrill dragster, due to the line being too long, but it looks terrifying & I have seen a picture before of a girl that peed her pants after she got off of it.

Had a good time here with my ex husband. Loved the Ripley’s believe it or not museum & the revolving restaurant at the top of the tower. Their food was excellent too! Just make sure you wear something relatively nice & don’t come in with jeans & a sweatshirt on like we did! lol

The park is cool, but don’t get too excited about this attraction. It really isn’t that impressive.

It advertises as a family park, but that just isn’t true. The place seems trashy now. The kids were just running around & even cussing on the Noah’s Ark ride really loud. I did not like the atmosphere & compared to other parks it did not come close to matching up. The worst was that when I went to leave, someone had stuck an empty beer bottle under my car tire in the parking lot. I vowed to never go back again.
