I lived in Goteborg for three years, in Haga, the old town.

Best place I’ve ever lived, bar none. Great walking city, most cafes per capita in any European city expect Paris. Swedes are great, gregarious, friendly, funny, open. Also reserved, aloof, humorless and abrupt.

I’d definitely recommend a visit. I return at least once a year. Summers are frantic, winters cozy. Pre-Lenten treat is a “semla” — definitely worth the trip.
