This place was a lot of fun. It’s been almost 10 years since I was there, but I still remember it like it was yesterday. I haven’t heard if they reopened it since the hurricane. I truly hope so, because it was one of the highlights of the time I lived in MS.

Definately worth the stop, as long as you aren’t afraid of reptiles. The snakes and other creatures are right out there where you walk around! Another one of my favorite stops in the Black Hills!

was when I was a kid. Probably 2 or 3. We went every year until I was a senior in high school. Corny as it is, I loved it. My daughter is really into dinosaurs now, and dreams of becoming a paleontologist. Imagine her delight the first time I took her here! Unfortunately, I don’t even live in SD anymore, so it’s been years since I’ve been back to Rapid City. But this is one of my must-see stops every time I go back!

This is a beautiful hotel!! My aunt used to work here, and had her wedding reception here, so I’ve been here many times. I’ve always considered it one of the most beautiful hotels I’ve ever been in! For those of you who are ghost fanatics, although I’ve never seen anything here myself, this hotel is reported to be haunted!

Well, I still don’t get to go, but we just found out that our daughter has been selected to go here as a student ambassador for People to People. I am so excited for her. I just wish I could go with! Well, hopefully someday I will get to go. For now, though, I will have to live vicariously through her!

This is probably one of the best zoos I’ve been to. (including San Diego zoo, and that one was awesome!) We never even left the front of the zoo, and spent 6 hours there. I hope to go back some day so I can see the rest of the zoo!

I lived here for about a year. It was ok. I miss living in Illinois, as there was so much to do, living so close to Chicago & Gurnee Mills. There’s a lot to see if you hit this area!

I lived here for just over a year! If I could afford to live here again, I’d do it in a heartbeat! I LOVED it here! My neighbors were so wonderful, right from day one, when they rescued us from the nightmare that is moving companies! (our moving company left us without our belongings for over 2 weeks, and our wonderful neighbors gave us everything we needed to survive until our stuff got there! Without us asking!)
Everything here is so laid back and carefree. Everyone looks out for everyone else, which was something demonstrated to me in the wake of Hurricane George. Even my landlord was awesome!
And it really was beautiful there! There is so much to do that you can’t possibly get bored! I never had so much fun in my life!

I got so lost trying to find this airport, and my friend, who I was driving there, missed his flight. Unlike O’Hare, there aren’t any huge signs anywhere to tell you where it’s at. One little tiny sign, that if you blink, you will miss it! It’s very unfortunate, too, because it looked like a nice enough airport. But that was the first & last time I went there. After that, I avoided it at all costs!

This was fun, but the day we went was soooo hot out! We only stayed an hour, because it was just to hot to walk around outside! I had a good time for the short time we were there, though, and I would love to go back sometime, when it’s not so hot! LOL.
A word of advice, though: take a cab or something like that! Parking was ridiculously high when we were there! If I had known that, we would’ve left the car at home & taken the train!
