Kelowna

Why I want to go to this place

In 3 weeks time I will be roadtripping from St Catharines ON to Kelowna BC. I am going to spend the winter there. I’m hoping to do alot of snowboarding (gotta work on my skills) and just generally experience a life different from my own. I am transferring to another Starbucks, and hoping to get a job within Big White Ski Resort (fingers crossed)

Amityville

Worth visiting!

The first time I went to this place

Being from out of town and realizing that the “horrorific” Amityville was only quick drive away we decided to add it to the vacation to-do list. The ferry ride from Bridgeport CT to Port Jefferson was so nice, on a hot humid day. Then we drove across to Amityville. Pretty town, wish I had a boat and lotsa money to own a property, even saw some boys catching crabs with raw chicken. We found the house, and snapped a few photos, there were a few other people looking for the new address of the house. Proudly, we found it! The town itself is so pictur-esque, would gladly like to spend time there again!

Worth visiting!

Dad lives here.

It’s a pretty lil place to visit. Lots of big eautiful houses with nature. The roads can be pretty bumpy. My 14 yr old brother has been living there for almost a year and he loves the skatepark.

Worth visiting!

Born and raised (mostly)

St Catharines can be considered a dull town espically to those of us who live here. Conisdering the next town over is Niagara Falls and Toronto is about an hour away, anything seems dull.
Positive attributes include a very decent mall for shopping http://www.thepencentre.com/HTMLpages/home.htm , and Port Dalhousie. http://www.portdalhousie.com/ Port has always drawn it’s visitors, with great restaurants, unique shopping and a comfortable beach (beach not water). Oh and last but not least St Catharines is home to some fabulous wineries, hence the city’s “Grape and Wine festival” Always a blast. http://www.grapeandwine.com/
