Sagres, Vila Do Bispo

Untitled

Sagres – aka “The End of the World” — it looks and feels like it; winds whipping, black water clashing & white capping & time seemingly stopping (or reverting). It’s where Henry the Navigator established his navigation school back-in-the-day. Students included: Magellan, Diaz, Cabral & Vasco da Gama, just to name the rebel drop-outs. You will be able to feel it, it’s not touristy, it just is…pretty much the end of the flat world.

Flamenco, Alhambra, stay in the Parador, eat in the plaza/courtyard under the clock w/ the bird’s nest on it, flamenco y flamenco..a very magical place—it’s real & like you’re just dropping into something that’s been going on a long time, and it’s still going to keep going long after you’re gone and dropping into another place…

Schloss Neuschwanstein, Schwangau

Untitled

Neuschwanstein is the actual castle Disney’s Cinderella’s Castle was designed and named after. It’s the real deal. And breathtaking. You’ll never forget this visit.

Make sure to see it from the inside as well as the outside hike/from the bridge…Plus, King Ludwig is a funny guy himself…look into his background and it makes it all the more interesting.
