The montmartre area is wonderful— it is laidback, has an eclectic feel, and there is a sea of artists displaying their works. I recommend making the time to have lunch there, see sacre couer, and stroll through the artist market.

This is my favorite site in Paris— simple, but beautiful.. especially in the snow!
over 4 years agoMy advice:
1. Do not miss the Arc de Triomphe and the Montmartre area.
2. Do not expect the locals to speak much English.
