If you miss the (almost) pre-gentrification days of the East Village, then come to Williamsburg, Brooklyn. It won’t last now that Subway moved in, however.

Greenpoint, Brooklyn

The longest I have lived in one neighborhood

Sad, but true, I like Greenpoint. I’m not Polish and have lived in several other NY neighborhoods including UES and Cobble Hill, but I like this place a lot. Greenpoint has cheap rent, cheap food, and finding a parking spot is never a problem. It’s far from the train, though.
