Grand Canyon National Park, Coconino County
Went here when I was 4 years old
and I’ve been back a bunch of times, north and south rims. I haven’t gone down into the canyon, but I would like to ride a mule down someday.

over 3 years agoThanks, Dad! I’m so glad you took the job at Boeing. I don’t live there now, but go back every chance to visit family and stomp my old grounds!
over 3 years agoMy friends and I went about 15 minutes north by Jeep and found an incredibly beautiful, deserted beach. There was a small cafe on the beach, with a tank full of different fish. One friend picked out a red snapper, and within an hour we had incredible grilled red snapper, fresh tortillas, homemade salsa, mangos, and more I don’t remember. By then I was foregoing alcohol and drinking bottled water – it was one of the last days of our 10-day trip. That was the best red snapper! I usually didn’t care for that kind of fish (give me salmon any meal every meal), but it was delicious! I walked alone south along the water and found several different types of coral washed up at the high tide line; only a few more people showed up at that beach for the whole day. The people were all nice, the food good, and I didn’t get sick at all – ate everything I wanted, but drank only bottled water.
