Just a week ago for the first time in 5 years. It seemed like the crowd had definately changed and the prices went up. Would I go again? Probably not. But their Chai Tea is pretty hard to beat anywhere else. I miss the old bookstore that was next door too.
over 6 years agoDidn’t really seem like much of a college town but more like a small agricutltural/ blue collar city. I was here for a week and it didn’t impress me much. If your looking for more culture or diversity as far as midwestern college towns go, then try Boulder, Co or Lawrence, Ks.
over 6 years agoI’d never seen so much trash and borded up storefronts until I visited Abilene. What really shocked me was the fact that there are over 100,000 people living here. It seemed more like a town of 45,000. Needless to say, I wasn’t impressed. I’m sure it was alot nicer at one time.
