We stayed in Alcudia for a week. Our accomodation was overlooking the marina which was just brilliant. Anything that happens in Alcudia happens in the restaurants and hotels next to the marina. On several nights there were cultural dances etc under our balcony. The beaches were 2 minutes walk away, and went for miles. Warm water (unlike most other beaches in Majorca), crystal clear, just pristine for such a busy-ish holiday place. Most of the visitors were German, Dutch and the likes, hardly any Americans or Poms (yay!). By the way I don’t hate Americans or Poms, they just get a bit overbearing when they are not in their own country. Is our favourite beachy holiday place in the world.

The desert botanical gardens are amazing. Little humming birds flying around, snakes, lots of cacti… its just so different to what we are used to. Doesn’t cost a lot to get in, well worth it. As for the rest of Phoenix, its clean, seemed safe, and the population probably has an average age of 75. Though Tempe was a bit younger.

we genuinly went to Havasu for the bridge, we had seen the new london bridge, why not go see the old one if your passing nearby. The bridge was so average, not worth seeing. But it was the end of Spring Break. Must say i have never seen so many attractive, slim, and very large boobed girls in my life. Was so cool. But Spring break is short, so there is really nothing at all to go there for other than that.

We have been to Vegas six times I think. Its great, love the shows, the lights the cheap drinks. So much fun for everyone. by the way book ahead, sucks been caught out when there is a convention.

I’m really over LA. Sure if you have not been there, great its awesome, okish beaches, okish theme parks, uber rich places, uber poor places. But thats about it. Its a place where people live, but not a holiday destination… I don’t doubt for a second that half the tourists that go there would’nt if LAX was not a major hub. Its just not that great after the first time. Last place on earth I would live, well maybe after Cairo.

It really is just like the show. lots of depressed looking poms wandering around. One thing is, I’ll say the British, Welsh and scottish are much happier looking people when they are not on their on little Island. I love the place, so relevant to to my home town, especially Stratford-upon-avon, but the locals are pretty sad. also very expensive, infact, London has got to be the most expensive place to visit in the world, no matter how cheap you try to do it. Gotta go there though…

Bangkok was just a small stopover in our world trip. We managed 6 days there. We were supposed to be in Thailand for about a month but changed plans after the Tsunami hit ( glad we did). Its a fantastically friendly and enjoyable and especially inexpensive place. We probably rocked up at the worse time possible, but it still amazed us. Will be one of the places we return to, once our kid/s are a bit older.

Airlie Beach has a pretty famous Backpackers called Magnums. Great place, very sociable. Well we were on holiday around the world for one year with no work, so living off savings. Its pretty hard to say no to a $500 prize, even if you have to win a wet thirt contest to get it. Well we acquired $500 and went on the coolest whitsunday snorkelling tour with the money. Probably one of our most memorable experiences of our trip. The snorkelling trip was pretty cool to.
