Cuba, Central America And The Caribbean

ahhh...Cuba

From everything I’ve seen and heard about the place, it would be a magnificent country to visit. I recently had friends go their and the male of the two is a very good photographer and posted a lot of pictures also, just making me yearn to be there. Cuba…I’ll get to you one day.

Minneapolis, Minnesota

I'm a fan of John Sndford...

John Sandford’s Prey series has made me want to visit Minneapolis (indeed, the Twin Cities) for many years now, since I read the first book in the series, The Rules of Prey.

I just looked at his website and the series is now up to 20 books, and I definitely haven’t read them all, but I think probably more than half. He’s a good writer, and Lucas Davenport is a good character, so if you’ve read these books you can probably understand why I’d like to visit.

New Jersey, United States

back in 2000...

I visited New Jersey in 2000 when I went to stay with a friend as I trekked around The States. They lived in one of the ’burbs not too far from the bridge across the river into Philadelphia, which proved to be a big highlight for me (visiting Philly).

Also, I was there for 4th July, and myself and her family drove down to Atlantic City to watch the fireworks on the beach, as well as have a swim in the afternoon beforehand. Also got to visit Caesar’s Palace and a couple of other big casinos, which, for an Aussie who’d never seen a “Casino strip”, was something special.

New Jersey has lots of houses, as everyone tells you, but I think it is well-and-truly worth visiting, especially for everything that is around it (I also visited NYC while I was there).
