Nice place to eat lunch and work.

Highly recommended. Swerve’s selection is quite varied, the prices are reasonable, and the owner, Joanna, may be the nicest, most musically informed woman on the planet. I make it a point to swing by at least twice a week, and suggest others do the same!

Garlic fries!

Run by a very friendly Asian couple, they specialize in various teriyaki dishes, which are quite tasty. However, my usual is a roast beef and cheddar sandwich with lettuce, tomato, avocado and horseradish on wheat bread. Delicious!

Steve at Stewart St. Barbers has been cutting my hair for about a year now, and he never disappoints. $22 for your average men’s haircut ain’t too shabby! Highly recommended.

Stopped and skinny dipped here a few years ago. Cold!

So I trudged to 7-11 through the snow. Sometimes the need for nitrates simply cannot be ignored, regardless of the weather!

My new cottage doesn’t have a washer/dryer, so I decided to try 12th Ave. Laundry’s drop-off service. Right around the corner from me, and at $1.20/lb. it’s worth my time. Dropped off a bunch of clothes this morning, and will pick them up on my way home from work. I think I’m going to like this arrangement… we’ll see how they do!

I’ve worked here for 2.5 years as a graphic designer and one-man print production department. Working downtown in such close proximity to Pike Place Market affords me many a lunchtime culinary treat! Plus I can walk here from home, which is most excellent. Built-in cardio workout twice a day!

I don’t really drink much hard alcohol, and there is no pool table here (pool being my main reason for hanging out at bars at all…). About the only draw is that their veggie burger ROCKS! And I’m nowhere near being vegetarian, if that tells you anything. Plus my friend Elizabeth goes here for the whiskey, and I do like a nice bourbon with her once in a great while…
