Santa Fe, New Mexico
wonderful, but don't choose to live there unless you have $$$
I was born in Santa Fe. There could not have been a better place to grow up, and watch my brother and sister grow up. Great food, art, people, a fun little town with great cool summer nights and fun places to hang out. There’s something in the air in Santa fe, and it makes you want to stay there. Unfortunetly, it has fallen prey to corporations and rich people who don’t really care about the community of Santa Fe, but moreover the ability to say that you have a house there. They roll in, destroy the character of the town, and make it something it’s not – Santa Fe is NOT the next LA or NY. Period. It’s a little Southwestern town that has a lot of character, but is a small town nonetheless. It’s depressing, because I love this Town. For now, it is not somewhere I will go back to, until I have enough money to compete with the rich folk from New York, buy my own little store or resturant, and show everyone that the locals are what really matter here.
