Nervi, Genova

A must visit!

Nervi is the most eastern neighborhood of Genova, it’s worth a visit for its charming promenade, stretched over scenic cliffs. The promenade starts from a small port, filled with fishing boats, and ends after two kilometers in a tiny cool beach (if you’re thirsty there’s a pub with a great choice of draft beers…). But Nervi is not only its promenade: in town you have many opportunities for shopping or having lunch. Don’t forget to take a look at the parks and the gardens, they are the biggest public parks in Genova: inside you can find also some villas which host a museum and art exhibitions (the Gallery of Modern Art, and other private collections). You can easily reach Nervi by bus from the city centre, or even by train (the station is very close to the promenade), so don’t forget to have a trip here next time you’re in Genova!

Boccadasse, Genova

The little village inside the city

Boccadasse is an old fishing village located at the east end of the promenade of Corso Italia, not so distant from the centre but far away from the hustle and bustle of the old port. It’s a beautiful place, where you can just sit back and relax on a sunny day, or you can look around the narrow alleys that climb up the hill and discover cool views over the sea and toward the cape of Portofino.
