Casa Bonita

Worth visiting!

A review of this place: No-one goes for the food -

it’s the rest of the surreal experience that keeps the place in good business. Definitely worth going at least once.

Untitled

One of my three favorite Seattle restaurants.

Palace Kitchen

My first visit

From the oysters, beer & cocktails, through salads, fondue and entrees, to the desert (creme brulee) that was so kick-ass that as soon as we finished the first, we promptly ordered a second, I loved this place. Better than Dahlia, though I like it, too. When my ex moved from PDX to Seattle, this became one of his favorite spots, and it’s a destination for me when I go to Seattle, too.

Hung Far Low

Worth visiting!

Scary.

Walking up those stairs is like walking intp some freaky Tarantino film.

The one thing my Dad’s cousin remembered from her visit to Portland about 20 years ago was, “There was this restarant called…” and I knew what she was going to say right away. Apparently the drinks have always been lethal.

Le Bistro Montage

Worth visiting!

The food's overrated but

it’s a fun place – lively. There used to be an adorable French waiter there who was fun to flirt with. I particularly enjoyed the evening when the people sitting across from us at one of the community tables smoked bowls as they waited for their entrees.

Lucky Labrador

Worth visiting!

The scene's a little cliche, but

they make a mean grilled Cheese. A true saving grace in my book.

Rose & Raindrop

Worth visiting!

Pretty good bar menu, and Coffee Nudges!

the mixed crowd is refreshing (it’s not all disaffected hipster), and the Coffee Nudges are the best in boozy coffee goodness.

Hee Hee :)

Never actually been inside, but I’ve had my picture taken in front of the building, which has the name posted above the door.

Space Mountain

My first roller coaster ride

was on Space Mountain (though actually the one at Disney_land_). I was so nervous to go on my first “big” roller coaster – I think I was about 8 – but I loved it. Our next day back at the park, a weekday, was rainy, so there was hardly anyone there, and there were no waiting lines. I went on that ride 17 times in a row. And because I was too small to go unaccompanied, my stepmother, who was not a roller-coaster nut by any means, kindly went on it with me 15 times. That was such a great day.

Monteverde

Worth visiting!

I could live there.

The Cloud Forest is beautiful, and I loved Santa Elena. Stayed at the Arco Iris, too. It was so peaceful, it fed my fantasy of chucking it all and living in a cabin in the woods (or forest). And they have goats nibbling and sunning away on the grounds!
