Home to Cao Dai. What seems to be bordering to kitsch, is an amazing place where religion is taken into aother realm. A mixture of all the existing major religion in the world. The revelry of the practice is the colorful sight and sound that one shouldn’t miss.

Huay Xay is a commercial center at the crossroads of China, Thailand, and Laos. It is just a short and easy river crossing between the two last countries.

IT’s amazing to just get immerse in the local culture and be one with the people. Laos is the most laid back country that I’ve ever been. This is truly the land of smiles.

Most of travelers go here on their way to or from Laos but it is pleasant enough on its own and the surroundings are beautiful.

It offers a great overnight stay before going to Laos. The view of the Mekong River is definitely a once in a lifetime experience.

I was here almost like a decade ago. I went with a friend for a weekend to check out the town’s yearly short film festival called “Cergy-Pontoise Shorts”.

Pontoise is part of the agglomeration of the two commune towns of Cergy and Pontoise in France.

I love the people. And the place is very nice.

Forget Boracay, this is white sand beach at its finest. This is like Boracay circa 1980’s when the island was unspoiled by commercialism. What used to be a private island for the people in the know and with too much moolah to spend is now open for beach enthusiast all over. Check it out. Definitely worth the visit.

It’s the first glimpse of the beautiful Laos if your coming from the Thai border. This small and quaint town is just magical.

I was happy eating at one of the hawker stalls when a friend told me that I was actually gnawing on dog meat. Apparently it’s a specialty here.

Go up to the heavens and marvel the beauty of ancient laos. Check out the sacred hill in Pousin.
