San Gimignano, Toscana

It's lovley

Going to Toscana?

Go to San Gimagnano.

Take a wonder up to the tower, take some gogeous pictures from the top, eat some fantastic ice cream, and visit the torture museum- It’s almost worth the trip just to see the rooms full of metal things that were made to hurt people! it’s such a brilliant museum! Maybe one just for the boys, although the ladies will appriciate the pain involved with an instrument of tirture called ‘the Pear’.

Siena, Toscana

Il Palio and Siena.

i was lucky enough to visit Siena three times, as i have a friend who lives there, and so experienced more than the usual tourist spots. Siena is a stunning little walled city which is a pleasure to live in. The city is split up into several “Contrade” and twice a year they all participate in ‘Il Palio’ – a horse race i am yet to experience- but next time I Go, I’m hoping to go at the time of Il Palio, because the people of Siena can be fiercly patrotic concerning their “team”.

A trip to Siena is fantastic, small little streets, with great shops and the Piazzo Del’Cammpo [site of the Palio] making it beautil even when there is no horse-race.

Bath, Somerset

Beautiful Bath

The whole city is a word heritage site, and it is easy to see why.

i love the mix of georgian buildings, and nice little squares. The

Bath was the Roman town of Aqua Sulis, site of some of those springs that healthy people talk about. You can visit the Baths- but while your in the city, do visit Victoria prk and have a stroll around by the river. lovley Jubbly.
