Love the Burgh

It’s a great place for your college years… if you go to Pitt, you get free transportation, free museum admission, and tons of free program around town with Pitt Arts… the city is easily one of the most beautiful in the country, with hills, bridges, neighborhoods, and gorgeous 1900’s architecture in various states of (dis)repair… the libraries are fantastic, several college-area restaurants have 1/2 price hours (and no one from any other city has ever known what I was talking about when I mentioned half price… basically they go half price on entrees after 11 pm and sometimes for early bird as well, so you can eat for $4 plus tip, and sometimes you can even get take out for half price)… the music scene is pretty lively, and South Side has the longest uninterrupted string of bars in the country, on the longest Victorian main street in the country…
