The Friendly Toast is a stop I must make every time I’m in Portsmouth or driving through the area. The eclectic decor and unique range of sandwiches and other food make it a great place to eat each time! My favorite sandwich is called the French Melt, I think – ham, two kinds of cheese, and asparagus on delicious toasty bread.
over 6 years agoWe stop at the Gorge Bridge each time we drive back from NC on Rt. 19. It’s quite impressive: the view from the bridge, and the view of the bridge from below. Beautiful!
over 6 years agoI’ve been to Waterbury many times. The first trip was to visit Ben & Jerry’s, but we learned about several other places in town that are equally worth visiting. Now when we go, we stop at B&J’s, but we also go to Green Mtn. Coffee, Grandview Winery, Cold Hollow Cider Mill, and the Cabot Annex, where you can sample tons of their cheeses! The Cabot Annex shares its building with Lake Champlain Chocolates, which is right through the open doorway. Fun day trip!
