Eshavira!
There is an incredible Jazz club called Eshavira. postigo de la cuna (2) — phone 958 29 08 29.
The owner is a old-time, big time anarchist, and the club is magnificent.

over 5 years agoI saw bluegrass in Smikhovka, at a place called M.I.5. People there actually knew my brother and the Jahoda brothers, who play there as “Monogram”. A drunk guitarist spent the whole night telling me how the best player of every instrument was an ethnic Czech…“An’ Banjo…Bela Flek is da BESS’ wan”.
over 5 years agoI went to see a Gitana sing Jazz standards at a beautiful jazz club called Eshavira in the back alleys just south and west of the Albayzin. Because of her name, Gitanos from Sacramonte descended on the place, and sang OVER her presentation. Eventually, they took over the place, singing and playing the Cajon over them.
