I live 5 miles out of Abita Springs, and I went to elementary and middle school there. It’s pretty cute, but BORING.

I went to Magic Kingdom for Senior Trip Grad Nite this past April. It lasted until 4am and my boyfriend and I fell asleep on the ground…I don’t know how because they were blaring rap on speakers that were EVERYWHERE..you could not escape them!! This was the Grad Nite thing…but I did enjoy the rides, Thunder Mountain being my favorite.

the aquarium was always the smarter summer destination as opposed to Audubon Zoo. Ahh the wonderful air condition! After you can visit the IMAX which of course is awesome! It’s not just the animals that I like at the aquarium; the entire place just brings back lots of childhood memories. But I did cry when I found out how many of the fish died after the stupid hurricane :(

I’ve been to Audubon Zoo SOO many times, and most of them involved me sweating my BUTT off. But the last time I went it was the end of December and the weather was unusually mild…I went with three of my friends and we all wore tshirts and jeans. We took tons of silly pictures (which unfortunately are not on my computer) with the various statues around the park. The especially funny ones were on top Monkey Hill which has really large lion statues that we sat on top of like horses. Isn’t it weird that MONKEY hill has LION statues on top of it and BUNNIES running around in the grass?? weird.

I don’t exactly remember THE first time I went. I always went to the Cafe du Monde in the Lakeside Mall in Metairie (suburb area next to New Orleans) when I was little. My mom and my grandma would bring me with them to the mall every morning before the stores opened and they would walk around the mall for exercise while pushing me in the stroller (they didn’t like walking around the neighborhood, and this way, once the stores opened, they could shop). We would go to Cafe du Monde once it opened and I would look through the glass and watch them make the first batch of beignets. Then I would eat them with some Brown’s Dairy chocolate milk. YUMMY!!!!
