please forgive the fact that i’m not actually a london local, more of a london local in waiting…my question is simple, can you help me reach this goal?

here’s my situation:

i’m an almost 30 social service professional (adolescent/youth work) who has decided to try to spend a few years living with my brother in london. he’s been there about a year and a half and the process was relatively smooth for him, a company transfer basically. for me, not so much. as i’m over 28 and don’t make 40,000 POUNDS per year ($80,000), there’s no way i’m going to meet the criteria for the “highly skilled migrant” scheme, which is of course the only way i can find to get permission to work without having a job already secured.

so, i guess i need a job, and in this moment i need some advice on how to make that happen. maybe it’s a long shot, but 43ers seem resourceful, so i’m casting into the void for help with this endeavor….advice, suggestions, personal tales, job leads or offers, any and all are welcome…
