Tacoma

Worth visiting!

A tip I have about this place

Stay at the Silver Cloud Inn – it is soooo beautiful. It’s right on the water and has a great view of the mountains. Plus it was right near the two things I wanted to see in Tacoma – Stadium High Schools and Point Defiance. Beautiful place.

Vancouver

Worth visiting!

Great place to visit

My husband and I spent part of our honeymoon in Vancouver and it was awesome. It is so beautiful and there was so much to do and see. We stayed on Granville Island which I highly recommend and we took trips to see all of the sights. Go fishing if you can, that was a wonderful trip too.

Granville Island

Worth visiting!

Great place to stay

We stayed at the Granville Island Hotel on our trip to Vancouver and I think it was the best place to stay. It was central to pretty much everything we wanted to see and the market is the absolute best! We spent more time on the island than we originally expected just because it was so pleasant and there were plenty of great restaurants to check out.

Why I want to go to this place

We’re going to Tacoma as part of our honeymoon in two months. We’ll also be going to Vancouver and Seattle but we’re ending at Tacoma. I’m looking forward to seeing Stadium High School and all of the sights in the area. I’ve heard there are great restaurants in Tacoma too.

Why I want to go to this place

I’m going to Vancouver on my honeymoon in two months. It was originally just supposed to be a side trip while we are in Washington state but there is so much to do and see there that it is now the primary destination of our honeymoon! I can’t wait to see Stanley Park and the VanDusen Botanical Gardens and so much more in Vancouver. We’re staying on Granville Island and I’m looking forward to a romantic and fun honeymoon.

Sicilia

(in Italy)
Missed opportunity

My grandmother was born in Sicily and moved the the U.S. when she was young but had never had the chance to go back to visit. A few years ago my parents took her on a trip to Italy and they went to Sicily and saw the village where she was born and the church she was baptized in. I didn’t go with them because I was ‘too busy’ with school and financial problems. I’ll never forgive myself for missing out on that opportunity and hopefully I can get to Sicily one day. Unfotunately it will have to be without my grandmother.

Central Park Zoo

Worth visiting!

Fun!

I love this little zoo. It’s so nice to get away from the craziness of the city and hang out with some real animals!

James Joyce's Grave

Dear Old Joyce

I think it would be amazing to see the spot where my favorite author is buried. I’ve been to Paris and Dublin, now I have to visit Trieste and Zurich to complete my Joyce voyage.

Biltmore Estate

Always wanted to visit here

Since I was in high school I’ve wanted to visit the Biltmore Estate. I’m hoping that when I move to Virginia i’ll be able to make a trip there since I’ll be closer than I am now! It looks so beautiful, like an American ‘castle’.

Stratford-upon-Avon

Home of the Bard

I’ve noticed that most of the places I want to visit are inspired by literary works or authors. I almost feel obligated to go here because I’ve studied Shakespeare’s works for so long! My parents went a few years ago and they loved it.
