I went to London in November 2004 for my brother’s wedding. During my visit, I took the Big Bus London Tour, visited Madame Tussaud’s and observed the Change of Guard at Buckingham Palace. I stayed at Glengall Rd (near Old Kent and Peckham) and Marylebone.

It was my first and only time there. I like the place because the people are quite nice and cultured and there is so much organisation compared to my country, Nigeria. Also, there are so many places to visit for a relatively small city. Yeah, the shops are terrific. The underground train stations really impressed me. Though I figured the buses were more like free services.

I was shocked though to find out that mobile phone theft was rampant and one had to be careful. I had no bad experience however. I was somewhat disappointed with the services at the airport and BA airline itself. It reminded me of so much mediocrity back in Nigeria.

I’ll go there again.
