Park House

Worth visiting!

I think we may have finally found a great bar that has a great feel to it, nice patrons, and is in walking distance!

Bravo Franco Ristorante

Worth visiting!

Untitled

My wife and I ate here after seeing Romeo & Juliet at the Benedum. Great Italian food in a relaxed atmosphere.

One of the highlights of our late dinner at Bravo Franco, was sharing the dining room with Burt Bacharach (who performed at the venue across the street earlier in the evening).

Kwik-E-Mart

Worth visiting!

I went to the Kwik-E-Mart!

The sign outside the shop is an obvious homage to The Simpsons, but the inside is rather disappointing. It’s very small, and not much of a selection of anything.

They do, however, have a life-sized cardboard replica of Homer Simpson though, so they have that going for them.

The Benedum Center For The Performing Arts

Worth visiting!

The last time I went to this place

Saw Spamalot on its closing night here at the Benedum. The musical was great, even better than I had anticipated, but the theatre is beautiful and breath-taking.

Mojoe Coffee House

Worth visiting!

Coffee!

This lovely little coffee shop has become my work office during the week, while my kids go to school just a few blocks away. Great coffee, fantastic sandwiches for lunch, and free wifi!

PNC Park

Worth visiting!

Went tonight and saw the Pirates beat the St. Louis Cardinals! It’s also close enough that we can even walk to the stadium from our apartment (with the kids, even)!

Canton

Worth visiting!

The last time I went to this place

Visited Canton last night, very briefly, to attend the Hall of Fame football came. I’m not that big of a football fan, but you can’t turn down free tickets!

Celebration

Worth visiting!

Was only there for a couple of hours, but it was a nice little town. There was even a baby alligator in the pond right off the town square.

Sterling Heights

Not worth visiting!

While in high school and on vacations from university I worked at the Pizza Hut outside of Lakeside Mall. Nothing particularly redeeming about the place.

Lansing

Worth visiting!

Untitled

I lived here for about a year in a half (on E. Michigan Ave) in a run down house with 4 housemates. By this point I had already dropped out of classes at MSU, but right before I moved from Lansing, I started taking classes at the community college.
