Bahrain, Middle East

www.kingdomofbahrain.blogspot.com

Bahrain does not have too much to offer tourists than other neighboring countries don’t already provide (like Dubai for example). You can go to the Gold Souks, you can go to the malls, cuisine restaurants, and depending on the time of year, you can go to the Formula 1 races. There are very good restaurants and a lively social scene. Most of the time people come here from Qatar, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia because Bahrain is closer than Dubai and alcohol is legal. One thing Bahrain strives for is bringing cultural events to the community. Our favorite was the King Tut Exhibit at the National Museum. If you want the social scene and alcohol and you’re on a small budget come to Bahrain. If you want to spend more, go to Dubai! (Helpful Bahrain links: http://del.icio.us/bijilah_delou/bahrain)

Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Dubai, a place for LOVERS!

The oceans and deserts are clean, the beachfronts are beautiful, the resorts are awesome, the architecture, the “Manhattan” area, the Irish Village, the Mall of the Emirates, dune bashing, belly dancers, snow skiing, culture … everything Dubai has to offer makes it worth the trip!! Dubai was awesome and we hope to go back again!

Castroville, Texas

Untitled

Castroville has an excellent bakery called Haby’s. A site I find interesting is the St. Louis Cemetery; it is very old but well maintained. There is so much history and natural beauty here that I visit every time I return home to San Antonio.
