Not worth visiting!

A review of this place

Passed through on the Camino de Santiago. Not my favorite town, although we were there for fiestas. Seems like kind of a grungy town. The plaza is a bit dead compared to others.

Part of the Camino de Santiago. I liked it…it seemed like a bit of a ghost town, which I found nice. Some cool bars.

A review of this place

I love Estella la bella. I have been here a few times, once on the Camino. It is a beautiful, well-situated old Basque town. It’s really just gorgeous, with a nice mountainside church to explore, as well as a witch doctor who stops by the albergue to cure all your ills. I like taking a picnic down to the riverbank. Be prepared for some strange looks, though.

A review of this place

I liked this place! Passed through on the camino. By far the nicest albergue in existence. Private (kinda) rooms?!
The city itself reminds me of a Spanish, wine-centered Aspen. The people were all pretty posh, the nightlife buzzing. There are plenty of good, hip, fun bars to go to in the center of the city. I found one off a plaza with some great old furniture and a two story loft inside…can’t remember the name, though!

Not really worth a special trip, but a fine city on the Camino. There’s a Gaudi building, which is nice. That’s about all. Some good papelerías. Yeah.

A tame coffee shop that actually contains some of the nicest, coolest people in Birmingham. A secret, if you will.

If you live in Baton Rouge, and your love lives in Birmingham, this small town is exactly halfway. And Tiger works at Waffle House. ANd there is Karaoke in the local chain hotel. And the golf course is beautiful under the stars. Don’t forget your guitar.

This place is a gem. Fun, young, and so cute. Beautiful natural scenery as well. Just watch out for the harrowing bus ride there.

A great day trip from Dublin! What I really envisioned Ireland as—the countryside. A great walk from the bus along the cliffs.

Nashville

Worth visiting!

A tip I have about this place

A fun place to visit as a twenty-something. Nashville is unique because many people’s jobs consist of playing music at night, and so during the day, the cafe crowd is ever-present and oh-so-hip. Hillsboro Village is the place to be…spend hours at Fido, eating, drinking, watching, and running into people you know. The Parthenon is fun, too. I personally avoid the downtown tourist lands. West Nashville is burgeoning and fun.
