It’s a beautiful view and a good hike for sure. You won’t really get too close but you can hike where the lava was from the 1968 eruption. Again, it’s just a good gorgeous view and some great exercise.
over 2 years agoI wouldn’t necessarily say it was worth it…but if you DO go, try to get Francisco as your guide. We booked through anywherecostarica.com so they should be able to help you find him. You can get a student discount as well and remember to bring your student ID. If you’re really into nature this place is for you. If not, then not so much. You’ll see some birds maybe. Some snakes…
