BEAUTIFUL!
I visited San Juan, Puerto Rico about 7 years ago and loved it. I found it to be absolutely gorgeous with the most amazing views of the water.

I visited last April with my family for my brothers Senior trip. Most of my dad’s family lives in California, so we were able to stay in Mission Viejo with his Aunt and Uncle. I loved it, thought it was beautiful. And I especially loved the starbucks not even a mile up the road!

Nashville is such a great place to visit/live.
Not only do you get the city, but just 20 min. south you get a great upbeat suburbia.(Cool Springs, Franklin, Brentwood)
If you’re in the Nashville area I would suggest going to Hillsboro Village (21st) which houses a well known pancake kitchen, fido’s, Posh, Pangaea, and some other great kitschy places.
If you’re all about the music, check out Rocketown, Exit/In, 3rd and Lindsley, 12th & Porter, river stages, The Bluebird cafe for all of you country fans, the opry, gaylord entertainment center, etc.
If you’re about the shopping, I would say get lost in downtown for boutiques and what nots…Opry Mills Mall, Green Hills Mall, etc.
If you like your books check out the downtown library and then go downstairs to Provence for sandwich and cup of coffee.

If you’re into concerts, you must go. Rocketown has such a great atmosphere that draws you in. A coffeeshop/lounge area, basement concert area, and then a massive concert area where you can catch some great shows. Also if you’re a skateboarder or just into that scene, check out Sixth avenue skatepark.

Now Mobile isn’t known as a major hotspot for parties, clubs, and amazing sites to see….but it should be considered.
I lived there until I was 9 and loved it so. I would definately reccomend going to Dauphin Island and really experiencing the fun beachy community. There’s a great burger joint that I used to visit every time I went to the beach…most likely it was washed away by Katrina, if not, it’s a circular hut on the right side of the road with a thatched roof….great burgers. There’s also a really cool bakery somewhat hidden right after you pass the big dauphin island water tower.
If you’re not a water person, I would say visit downtown mobile to see the old homes and if you’re a booky, then go the the downtown mobile library. It’s massive and pretty and smells greatly of old books.
Don’t forget the seafood. This is all fresh….

There is something about the Asheville area that I love. If you go to downtown Asheville you’ll find a lot of great shops/restaurants….a coffeeshop/bookstore that I reccomend is Malaprops. The best iced chai you’ll find. No joke.
Not only do you have the artsy/hippie people, you also have the beautiful Biltmore Estate which is a must if visiting that area. Also if possible go to the Lake Lure area…visit Chimney Rock and just spend a day over there. I promise you, you’ll be surrounded by beautiful mountains everywhere you look.
