Whipsnade, Bedfordshire
Not just about the animals
Most people coming here are usually headed for the zoo, which is great as Whipsnade Zoo is a good day out. But make sure you take half an hour to explore the Tree Cathedral on the way there, its worth the time to see something this special. Even the kids will love running around it exploring the different chapels.

Spooky!!
We go here with the kids every year for Halloween as we only live an hours drive away. Fantastic spooky atmosphere, loads of entertainment, the new Castle Dungeons definitely worth paying extra for. Don’t pay for the premium Stables car park though, all the other car parks are cheaper and the walk to the castle is scenic enough to make the extra distance worthwhile
