I went to Alice Springs to watch my husband take part in the Central Australian Bike Challenge a seven day mountain bike race.

Alice Springs was so laid back, we had a great time and there is so much to see and do around the town.

Uluru is an amazing place that has to be seen to be believed. I chose to walk around the rock (9.7km) as the Aboriginals don’t want you to climb the rock and it scared me anyway!

Just do it!

What a lovely holiday – we played cards and drank iced tea for days on end.

I did a study tour to Orange some years ago to spend time looking at the Roman ampitheatre. I have such fond memories. Bordeaux was beautiful and I loved Versailles and Paris.

Well Naples isn’t somewhere I ever want to go again but I adored the Amalfi coast, Rome and Pompeii. Next time I would love to visit northern Italy.

Ah, a lovely country… I loved the old world feel of Bruges and Antwerp was great too.

I lived in the UK for 3 years and I enjoyed it but I just wish things weren’t quite so expensive.
