Turkey is phenominally beautiful and has so much history! I was surprised at it’s green, mountainous beauty, having expected a more Middle Eastern appearance for some reason.

I lived in Taipei for a year and saw lots of beautiful places in Taiwan, but I’m a country girl at heart and living there was tough for me. So far, environmental concerns haven’t ranked very high for Taiwanese folk and lots of places are dirty and crowded. Taipei does have some really beautiful stuff though. If you’re wanting to see history and culture, though, you may as well go to China because Taiwan is mostly inhabited by people who went there from China in the 1940s and 50s.

I lived in the old city of Jerusalem for 4 months and it was amazing! It totally changed my view of my own faith (Christian) as well as Judaism and Islam.
