Not worth visiting!
Untitled
I spent most of my time in poor neighborhoods, but spent a little time in the town as well. Friendly doesn’t even begin to describe the people down there—they would do anything for you from converse to invite you in for dinner, even though their house might be just some plywood nailed together as a 10×10 box.
But even though the people were so nice, and it was a great experience to be in this very different culture, I hated the food (blandness with fire-hot sauce), I’m not a fan of the weird commercialism and pushy market salesman in the town, and it’s very difficult to not have any water. Everything must be bottled.
It’s great for awareness, and it’s great to help out the people there in any way you can, but it’s not a vacation.
