All of Namibia provides a micro-cosom of South Africa. There’s lots to do in Windhoek, and travelling around the country is pretty easy. Make a difference when you’re there by volunteering or something…don’t just be a visitor. Go to Swakopmund for the coast. Learn about the Himba.

I went to Jo’burg, Soweto, Cape Town and some other stops between. If you’re going to go there, you should plan on supplying some volunteer/work hours…plenty to do. Cape Town is a great place to be as a tourist, scholar, activist, artist, wine-drinker, historian, naturalist, etc.
