La Jolla, San Diego

La Jolla Cove

When in San Diego, La Jolla is worth the visit. Just one of the many beaches in CA but by far the best!! You can walk the streets of La Jolla, art galleries or eat great food. Then go to the Seal-Childrens’ Pool area and see the seals up on the beach, walk out on the sea wall, walk along the cliffs, have a picnic or go over to the shores and boogie board or have a bon fire. La Jolla has a little bit for everyone!! This is “Sunny Jim”, 145 steps down in a man-made tunnel into the biggest tunnel accesable by land.

Little Italy, San Diego

Chalk La Strada

Every year the Chalk La Strada is in Little Itally. This is a street fair with GREAT italian food, wonderful music, artisean booths and the street drawings. Artists draw chalk pictures right on the street!! It is a two day affair and at the end of the festival the fire department comes in and washes down the street. All the beautiful drawings literally go down the drain!! Only one, the showcase picture (picture), is drawn on a canvas. It is the only one to last more then the two days of food, fun and music!!

O'ahu, Hawai'i

North Shore

We went in May 2005 for our honeymoon. We stayed on the dry side of the island but drove everyday to the North Shore!! It was beautiful!! We will go back again. . . totally awesome!!! The picture was taken at the end of the road on the North Shore side. You can’t drive totally around the island but we did go from end to end on as much as we could. We actually just drove right through Honolulu and Wikiki Beach. . . too many tourists!!! Being from San Diego we know beaches but nothing like the ones in O’ahu!!
