Incredible baked goods and...fried chicken sandwiches!
Run by blue-wigged and always friendly Alison Barakat, a former Chez Panisse cook and a native of Australia, and her equally affable husband Michael, Bakesale Betty’s has not only incredible baked goods (must try the cupcakes…and the date pudding…and the scones), but also does a healthy lunchtime business serving up quite possibly the best fried chicken sandwich you’ve ever had. They also make excellent beef and horseradish and egg salad sandwiches. Save room for a cupcake, though!
