Fresno, Fresno County

A ROMANTIC DAY-TRIP (SPRING ONLY) FOR SOUTHERN CALIFORNIANS IS THE FRESNO BLOSSOM TRAIL.

“California is the country’s top producer of peaches and plums, along with almonds, citrus and other fruit. Before all this luscious fruit ripens and ends up on our tables, the orchards put on an annual display of spring blossoms that are just as much of a treat for the eyes as their fruits are to the palate.

In Fresno County, the orchards are so beautiful that the local visitors’ bureau has organized a driving tour through them called the Fresno Blossom Trail.” http://www.driveblossomtrail.com

My husband and I like to pick fruit up from the “Blossom Trail Fruit Stand” Highway 180 & Reed Ave. They have a washing well where you can rinse your edibles. It’s become a tradition for us to pick up fresh fruit and pistachios and drive through the magnificent orchards on our way to the Giant Sequoias.

“Pageant of the Masters” is a long standing summer tradition in Laguna Beach. It’s the Cirque de Solei of art gallery experiences. You might still not believe it even after you’ve seen it!!!
